Clovis Cares at Walter Reed 4th of July Community Dinner

Bethesda, MD (PRWEB) June 30, 2008 -- Clovis Cares volunteers will be banning together to support an upcoming holiday dinner at Walter Reed Army Medical Center on July 1st. The BBQ dinner will be in the spirit of the 4th of July for the soldiers and their families.

"In 2008, Clovis Cares set out to touch a minimum of 1,000 lives. We're so pleased to have the opportunity to make a real difference in these soldiers' lives," said managing partner Rick Levine. Clovis volunteered at the Walter Reed Wounded Warrior Community Dinner in May as well, and hundreds of people were in attendance.

More volunteers than was expected have signed up to help out at next week's dinner. "The response we've received from associates this year who are willing to volunteer their time for these events has been surprisingly high, and we're looking to get more events on the calendar for the remainder of the year," said managing partner Greg Diamond.

Founded in 2008, Clovis Cares' mission is to provide ongoing career and life skills education to those in need throughout the community to increase their employment and job retention potential and to contribute to their economic independence. Clovis will be offering resume and interviewing tips and consults to the soldiers and their family members who are looking to be reintroduced to the workforce.
